This machine is so loud in comparison when the water is pumping in and also on high spin speeds. It is a very nice looking machine with so many features I have not yet explored. I agree that the settings screen should be backlit or something for easier reading. I am also unfamiliar with the need to drain the little hose on the front. What is that all about?

I did a lot of research before I purchased the LG set. I was trying to decide to stay with a front loader or go back to a top loader.
I can now after 1 year say that this has proven to be one of the best purchases of appliances I have made to date. I want all to know that the speed of the cycles is fantastic, the clothes are cleaner and well rinsed in less than half the time of my. Read more previous system (Top of the line 2007 front loader). All types of clothes, sheets, California king duvet covers are never twisted after a wash, towels are cleaner than anything we had experienced before. Another real plus is the amount of clothes this machine can handle in each load is awesome and clothes come out really clean with minimal spot treatment. The mini washer drawer is something I was not certain I would use. This has turned out to be such a plus item for us. Swim suits, hand wash items, lingerie, work out clothes, even as simple as a pair of pants needed, I use this mini machine almost daily. The clothes are just as clean as the large capacity washer.

LG really has hit on a fantastic high tech washing and drying experience. LG has really been thorough with making so many different cycles to choose from including the steam sanitize and it is very easy to customize a cycle as well. All the problems of previous front loader with the seal not being good, mold, not rinsing thoroughly, this has all been solved and then some. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I highly recommend. I replaced my old LG washer with this newer model.
I absolutely love it. It holds large comforters, huge number of towels, and everything else. Doing laundry has never been easier or faster. I think my clothes are even cleaner than before.
It has save me so much time. I also bought the sidekick pedestal washer, it is in the bottom. Best investment ever. I can now do my delicates in the bottom while washing other items in the main washer. All my friends/family are jealous of me.

Had to replace an older washing machine and thanks to recommendations from several friends that loved their LG Front Loading Washing Machine, I was able to find this model at Costco online! It has done a great job washing my clothes and they come out cleaner than my previous top loading machine. Make it a practice to wipe the rubber seal after use and like the feature magnet that allows you to keep the door ajar for the machine to air out after use.
Love that it has steam and also an easy 'tub clean' feature. Purchased product June 2018 after previous LG Washer of 10yrs failed (Internal leaking due to internal Rust, Dryer is still going strong), we assumed it would be cheaper to buy a new one. This washer is most similar to the previous one we owned, LG has improved this product over the years, its much quieter somehow, wash cycles are as quick as 15m (previous version 45min+).
I want to see how this product does over time (especially at the Lowes price point) so I'll come back after a year. Read more so.
So Far we like it very much. After 12 years, my old washer finally bit the dust. Luckily for me, I found this new LG washer, which happens to do perform very well in cleaning dust (and dirt, soda, food stains.you name it!). I'll admit, I was intimidated by the control pad since I'm not very tech-savvy. Technology, no.techno, yes.:-) My fears were unfounded, as LG has made this machine very easy to use, and the owner's manual very user-friendly, as well. Don't tell my husband, but I'm now praying that my old dryer. Read more will die, too.
I'm certain that when it does, a new LG dryer will do a superb job of drying my tears. We had previously lg front load washer that lasted about 9 years, used daily non stop, we have kids,so lot of dirty clothesc, we never expected to last that long, the reason why we wanted to buy another lg after it quit working, but this one has more features, its a turbo washer and heating water, larger capacity, ease of use even my teenage daughter enjoyes washing her clothes, it looks moron right?, but she loves it, it is quiter, and less vibrating, the clothes are cleaner, very happy of its performance. This machine holds a lot and runs pretty quiet. I almost didn't buy it because the door is not exchangeable. I need the door to swing to the right.
Unfortunately, they don't make a front load door swing that way anymore. My old front load machine you could choose which way you wanted the door to swing. That is one suggestion I would make to the manufacture is to make the door exchangeable. The machine is level both directions and leaks a little with some loads from the front door. Read more doesn't happen every time. I'm sure it has something to do with the installation more than the machine itself. Another suggestion is to have a light come on in the tub when you open the door, so it's easier to find that last small item still inside the tub.
But, overall does a good job getting the cloths clean. A note to the costumer. It's best not to spin on top high a lot. I was told that's one of the causes for break downs.
It does a good job spinning out on Medium. One reason I purchased a LG machine was Consumer reports listed them as most reliable front load machine. We have had the washer almost two weeks so we haven't put it through all the paces. It is quieter and cleans better than the top load washer it has replaced. After a few days the softener tray is not emptying the flush water (the softener does empty). Not a big deal other than the fact the factory repairman isn't available for a week (we received a message that they are apparently short of techs in this area). Not reassuring.

It is a serious machine that will process the laundry. Also it works. The clothes seem to get very clean, even with our hard Texas water. The spin cycle seems to get a couple extra drips of water out that most machines would not. I like not having to run the dryer anymore than I have to and it works great with athletic gear that is challenging to dry. Downsides-The door.
Read more mounts one way. We put the washer to the right of the dryer and cannot change the door mount from the left (drier side) to the right to avoid having to swing wet laundry out and around. Also the cycles don't seem to be customizable. I want an efficient cycle for work out gear where i use cold temp wash, high speed spin.
I use this several times a week, but I can't get it to be the default or a 'special' programmed cycle. Maybe I am not looking hard enough.
Anyway, good out weighs the small issues and I would buy another one, but I would plan the water/drain hookups so that I didn't have the door issue! Leaving your clothes too wet at the end of the cycle? Vibrating uncontrollably? Spinning and agitating at the same time? Screeching, squeaking, clattering, knocking, buzzing, or making grinding or other strange noises? Do you smell smoke when your washer is running?
Your Maytag washer is leaking; what things do you check first? How about if your leaking washer is a Whirlpool or GE? It's a different set of likely problems.
The same things tend to fail in the same designs. Why not save yourself a lot of time, hassle and money, and just go there first?
