Hello vanilla16: My name is Roger and I will help you. The fuel pump on your vehicle is located inside the fuel tank. The best way to access the pump is from a hoist. The hoist allows you rom to work over the top of the fuel tank to access the fuel lines. The tank is heavy when full and not easy to handle while lying on your back. I would also suggest you replace the fuel filter at the same time.
A bad filter will knock out a fuel pump. Should you need further help please just ask.

You need to safely crank the engine and watch for the noid to light up. If you are not getting a light on the noid, it means you are not getting the injectors to open. Then you need to find the cause. It's possible your inertia sensor has disconnected the fuel pump power and your injectors will still open but have no fuel. This has a push button reset. It will not generate a 'check engine' light. Many other causes for your problems should generate a 'check engine' light.

You can sort out potential problems by listing those which generate a 'check engine' light and those that do not. Since you are capable of going online, there are several Youtube and other videos which can show you where the inertia switch is and what to do. Answered on Jul 21, 2017.
A very common problem with the fords of this era was the negative battery cable connection. The cable has a tendency to loosen up where it is attached to either the frame or engine blck. The other battery cable, the positive one (red), runs very close to the exhaust manifold and pipe down near the starter motor and will sometimes make contact, melt the insulation on the wire and short out. I would recommend examining and either tightening connections or replacing the battery cables. Answered on May 03, 2015.
One of three things have happened. You may have either a bad gauge, bad sending unit or your oil pump gears have become too worn to pump oil. There are a couple other possibilities, but I have listed the main three. The others would be bad main bearings in the engine, a plugged oil port or your sensor wiring has become damaged. You have to look at the issue logically and think about what was worked on last in your car and did it have anything to do with the oil sensor system or was the repair anywhere near the oil sensor wiring? The other thing to think about is did this just happen all of a sudden or did the pressure drop gradually? A gradual drop would indicate mechanical failure, where a sudden failure would indicate electrical failure.
This would be the preferred answer because a mechanical failure of your oil pressure would be very costly. Answered on Dec 13, 2014.
