The model number you provided is for a 3 ton a/c only. Not a heat pump. If you are installing a digital thermostat, the problem may be in the configuration menu. It will have to be told what system you are asking it to control.1 stage heat and 1 stage cool would be the standard residential hvac system. Make sure there is a jumper between the terminals Rc and Rh to make sure both heating and cooling cycles will work. There should be a dip switch on the sub base to select either electric heat or gas heat. Verify all your wiring connections are correct.

Thermostat connections: Rh terminal is 24v power for the heat cycle. Rc is the 24v power for the cool cycle. W terminal is the heat connection. G terminal is the fan control connection. Y1 is the a/c connection. If you have a 'C' connection, that is the 24v common connection that should be connected to the control transformers common connection in the furnace.
